Our Programs
We are committed to providing support and individualized instruction for youth to ensure that they can develop to their full potential.
Learn By Doing
Hip Hop Study Hall utilizes the exploration of careers in the Hip Hop industry to inspire youth in ninth through twelfth grade to achieve their own personal, educational, and career goals. Through hands-on learning, students go beyond the role of emcee.
Visualizing the End Result
Creating a mental picture of your future can help you achieve your goals. When you visualize your desired outcome, you begin to “see” the possibility of achieving it.

Backed with experience.
Hip Hop Study Hall is the brainchild of two Tampa Hip Hop legends — DJ Ekin and rapper Soljah. DJ Ekin has been the voice of Tampa Bay radio for over a decade. Resident DJ for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and founder of the non-profit I Care About Me, Ekin recently launched the podcast Southern Hospitality. Soljah, a Tampa native, is the founder of rap group Militant Military whose radio-hit single “Mz. All Da Way Live” took the airwaves by storm in 2008. Now as owner of Suite 16 Recording Studio, he continues to be a force within the Hip Hop industry. Ekin and Soljah have joined forces to combine their love of Hip Hop, industry knowledge, and community connections to launch this educational initiative.
Advancing the Youth.
Through the Hip Hop Study Hall experience, youth build self control, courtesy, integrity, resiliency and indomitable spirit. Youth walk away from the two-day program believing their dreams are possible.
